WoW Forever Immersion Addons: Dialogue UI, Spoken & Lore Forever
Our last immersion video recommended two addons. Viewers pointed out that one already covers a lot of what the other does, and several suggested Dialogue UI. Ssorn tried it on the WoW Forever beta alongside Spoken, and says it makes a big difference. This is a write-up of the follow-up video.

Why Dialogue UI helps
The default quest window is a big box of text, and after years of WoW most players click Accept without reading it. With Dialogue UI, Ssorn found it felt more like talking to the character: the camera draws attention to the NPC and the text is presented differently. With Spoken running as well, you also hear what they say.
Ssorn also notes that some viewers recommend an addon actually called Immersion, which takes a different approach to presenting quest dialogue.
What happens when you pick up lots of quests?
Viewers kept asking whether several quests start talking at once, or whether a new quest interrupts the last one. Ssorn tested this in Shadowglen.
- Spoken has its own narration queue. Quest dialogue, zone narration and books wait their turn rather than overlapping, so you can carry on playing while it works through what you collected.
- You stay in control. You can skip dialogue, replay something you missed or stop the queue altogether.
- Watch for overlap with Lore Forever. Spoken manages its own queue, but that does not automatically include another addon’s narration. Ssorn suggests not leaving overlapping narration features switched on in both. See our Lore Forever guide.
The AI voice debate
Viewer opinion was split. Some thought the voices sounded great and others thought they sounded dreadful, with one example in the video being an Ironforge dwarf who sounded wrong. There is also a wider conversation about AI-generated voices and the work of voice actors. Ssorn likes the extra immersion but does not argue everyone has to feel the same.
Several viewers also said reading large amounts of quest text is difficult for them, so having dialogue read aloud can make parts of the game more accessible.
If you dislike AI narration, you can still use Dialogue UI or Immersion without it: the presentation improves without changing how characters sound.
Ssorn’s recommended order
- Start with Spoken Player and install the voice packs for quests, zones and books.
- Add Dialogue UI to change how quest conversations are presented.
- Add Lore Forever if you want more history and background, but avoid duplicate narration.
Ssorn’s point is that you do not need every immersive addon, which would defeat the purpose. For other addons, see our WoW Forever addons list.
Tested on the beta by Ssorn on 20 October 2026. Addon behaviour may change during the beta.

Frequently asked questions
Which WoW Forever immersion addon should I install first?
Ssorn would start with Spoken, install the voice packs for quests, zones and books, then add Dialogue UI. Lore Forever comes after that if you want more background on Azeroth.
Does Spoken queue its narration?
Yes. In Ssorn's testing, Spoken has its own narration queue, so quest dialogue, zone narration and books wait their turn instead of playing over each other.
Can I use Dialogue UI without AI voices?
Yes. Dialogue UI and the Immersion addon change how quest conversations are presented without changing how the characters sound.
