WoW Forever Best Leveling Classes: Fastest Classes to 60

By Updated · first published

Some classes fly to 60 and some crawl. Here’s what the World of Warcraft: Forever beta suggests so far, along with the class changes behind it.

Based on beta play up to level 30. There’s no real leveling-speed data yet. Ignore any site quoting exact ”% faster” figures, as we found nothing behind them. Last checked 6 October 2026.

Leveling tier list

TierClassWhy it levels well (or doesn’t)
FastestHunterThe pet tanks, pets scale with your gear, and traps work in combat. Aimed Shot is baseline at 20, and there’s almost no downtime. The strongest early class in the beta.
FastestWarlockThe Voidwalker tanks, Fear buys time, Life Tap turns health into mana, and DoTs can now crit. Very safe.
FastestMageAoE grinding, free food and water, and teleports. Frostfire Bolt is baseline. Watch your mana early.
StrongPaladinPlate armor and self-heals, plus Holy Strike and Consecration baseline. Judgement no longer consumes your Seal, and Blessings last an hour.
StrongShamanSelf-heals and good burst, and all four totems drop with one cast.
StrongPriestGreat mana and a strong wand. Forum testers said they survived pulls of eight mobs. Shadow Word: Death is baseline at 32.
AverageRogueSmoother Energy regeneration, but still has downtime between fights.
Slow startDruidWeak until Cat Form at 20. After that, forms use Energy with no drinking, consumables work in form, and Omen of Clarity is baseline. Much better than Classic Druid leveling.
Slow startWarriorThe most gear-dependent class. Rage is bugged in beta, though critical strikes now give 100% more Rage (since the 2 October build), and Victory Rush (level 20) adds healing between pulls.

Where the guide sites agree

Published leveling lists disagree on a lot, but most put Hunter, Mage and Warlock on top and Warrior and Druid at the bottom early on. That matches the forum impressions.

Things that help every class

  • Run the Cozy Sleeping Bag chain at level 14.
  • Use campfires and crafted food for bonus XP.
  • Spend account-wide Legacy points on Well Rested and Talented once you have them.
