WoW Forever Dungeon XP Buff: Blizzard Is Raising Dungeon Experience
Blizzard is increasing the experience you earn in dungeons in the WoW Forever beta. Josh Greenfield (Aggrend) has confirmed it, saying the change is meant to make dungeons more worthwhile to return to on the way to the level cap.

What players are reporting
We couldn’t find a Blizzard blue post with exact numbers. Beta players on the official forums, quoting a Wowhead news article, say the increase applies to XP from kills in dungeons and is 20%, and that the way dungeon XP is calculated is also changing so it’s relative to your own character’s level rather than the highest-level player in the group. Treat both details as player-reported, not confirmed by Blizzard as of 8 October 2026.
Some players think 20% is too small. They point out that dungeon mob XP was cut sharply earlier in the beta, so a 20% bump on top still leaves it well below Classic. That’s player opinion, not a Blizzard statement.
Why it matters for levelling
Our levelling guide says dungeon XP comes mainly from dungeon quests, and that on 1 October Blizzard cut the bonus XP from dungeon quests by 50%. This new change is about XP from dungeon kills, so it adds to that picture rather than replacing it. The best route is still to quest through each of the new dungeons once; we’ll update both guides once Blizzard publishes exact numbers.
