WoW Forever The Drowned City: Dungeon Guide (Coming Soon)

Full guide coming soon. The Drowned City is a visually stunning dungeon set in an ancient troll ruin off the coast of Stranglethorn Vale, for players level 35 to 40. It is one of the nine new dungeons in World of Warcraft: Forever. This page collects what we know and will grow as we test it.

Last checked: 15 October 2026 (beta).

Quick facts

Location	Ancient troll ruin off the coast of Stranglethorn Vale
Level range	35–40 (beta, may change before launch)
Status	Playable at BlizzCon 2026; we have not yet confirmed whether it is in the current beta build

What we know

The Drowned City was available to test at BlizzCon 2026, and the show floor demo was filmed by creators. Guzu’s playthrough of the dungeon is the one our team pointed us to, but we couldn’t verify a link for it yet, so we haven’t embedded it. One forum poster said a Shaman in a BlizzCon video “looked pretty broken” in the dungeon. That is player opinion.

Players have not yet reported its drops. A forum poster noted that nobody knows the loot from The Drowned City, Krol’dok Stronghold, Alcaz Prison or Blackmaw Hold, so gear plans that depend on it are guesswork for now.

Where it fits in levelling

Players’ suggested dungeon routes put it after City of Dalaran and before Scarlet Monastery’s later wings and Krol’dok Stronghold. See City of Dalaran, our dungeons guide and the levelling guide.

Coming soon

More information is on its way. We plan to add:

• Boss names, mechanics and strategies
• Quest chain and walkthrough
• Loot tables
• Map and route
• Tips for tanks, healers and damage dealers
