WoW Forever Skinning: Earn Early Gold With the New Level 1 Trainers
Blizzard has added three new Junior Skinning Trainers to the WoW Forever beta, and our own Cagen reports they can be used from level 1. With plenty of slain beasts lying around starting areas, that makes Skinning an easy way to pick up early gold.
Tested on the beta by Cagen on 8 October 2026. The trainers’ names, titles and locations are confirmed by Wowhead’s Forever database; the “from level 1” claim and the gold tip rest on our own testing.
Where to find the trainers
The trainers are only in certain areas, so this is not a Skinning trainer in every starting zone.
| Trainer | Title | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Nawka Wildsong | Junior Skinning Trainer | Thunder Bluff (around 44, 77) |
| Margaret Weaver | Junior Skinning Trainer | Undercity (around 32, 66) |
| Brighid Stormflayer | Junior Skinning Trainer | Ironforge (around 29, 67) |
Why it helps early gold
Cagen’s report is that there are lots of slain beasts lying around the starting areas. Skinning them from level 1 means you can sell the leather and hides you pick up while you quest, instead of waiting until you can afford the profession later.
For how Skinning fits with other professions, see our Professions guide, which lists Mining and Skinning or Herbalism and Skinning as the best combos for levelling and gold. For general levelling advice, see the levelling guide.
Beta caveat
WoW Forever is in beta until launch on 4 November 2026, so trainers, levels and locations can change. Last checked 8 October 2026.
