WoW Forever City of Dalaran Dungeon Guide (Coming Soon)
Full guide coming soon. The barrier around the City of Dalaran has come down. The city has been restored, but it isn’t quite under control yet, and the Kirin Tor need help. This is one of the nine new dungeons in World of Warcraft: Forever, and it is open to players of level 20 to 35. This page collects what we know and will grow as we test it.

Secret boss: Lyn the Ignored
Wowhead reported a hidden boss, Lyn the Ignored, in the dungeon’s sewers. To reach it:
- Shadowfang Keep: defeat Archmage Arugal and click the book on his table to receive a Black Tome.
- Ambermill: in Silverpine Forest, use the Black Tome next to the Ambermill Leyline Focus to turn it into the Tome of Dalaran.
- City of Dalaran: clear the first boss, Atrexis the Grave Knight, then go straight ahead in the sewer instead of towards the surface. Use the Tome of Dalaran at the purple rune on the ground.
The tome isn’t consumed and has a 3-minute cooldown. We haven’t confirmed this route ourselves yet.
Horde access to Dalaran
Dalaran was thought to be Alliance-only. Wowhead reported that Horde players can enter the city after finishing the dungeon and Heart of Disruption, the questline that awards the Dalaran Sewer Key. You then take the Arcane Mote from Shade of the Archmage to Archmage Celindra with the quest Shrewd Negotiations, after which the guards turn neutral. Inside, you can stock up on supplies, train Mage skills and use the stable master.
Blizzard’s Josh Greenfield said on X that Horde having full access isn’t intended and will be looked at, so don’t count on it staying. Our 8 October patch notes summary has more.
Loot
Wowhead reckons the Violet Sorcerer’s Vestments set comes from this dungeon, going by its name and theme. That is an inference, not confirmed.
Player opinion
Some forum players dislike the dungeon reusing the existing Dalaran city map. Others note that it is simply set in Dalaran. A Horde player said Dalaran has Horde flight paths reasonably close by. These are individual opinions.
