Hey there, fellow Azeroth adventurers! Lynqoid here, your trusty guide from TeamOverpowered.com. Having been a part of the World of Warcraft universe since its inception, and recently diving back into the thrilling world of WoW Classic Hardcore, I’m here to share some insider tips on mastering First Aid – a skill that’s as crucial as your trusty sword or spellbook.

First Aid in WoW Classic: Your Lifeline in Azeroth

In the realm of WoW Classic, First Aid stands as one of the three vital secondary professions, alongside Fishing and Cooking. What’s great about secondary professions is that they complement your primary skills, like Herbalism or Alchemy, without any trade-offs. If you want a little less information than this guide provides then make sure to check out WoW wiki’s or Wowpedia’s info page for some historic information about first aid.

Why First Aid?

First Aid is your go-to for crafting bandages and anti-venoms, essential for those moments when you’re in a pinch. Whether you’re a solo adventurer or a team player, these crafted items are lifesavers, literally. You’ll find yourself gathering cloth from fallen humanoids (think Silk Cloth, Mageweave Cloth, and more) to create these bandages, with higher-quality cloth yielding more effective healing.

Anti-venoms, crafted from venom sacs dropped by creatures like spiders and scorpids, are your best bet against poison effects. And trust me, in the hardcore mode of WoW Classic, every bit of self-sufficiency counts!

Leveling Your First Aid Skill

The path from novice to expert in First Aid involves a mix of crafting various bandages and anti-venoms. The process is straightforward but requires dedication. You’ll progress through different types of bandages, each requiring different cloth types, and the same goes for anti-venoms. The rough materials required to go from 1 to 300 is in the table below:

170 Linen Cloth
180 Wool Cloth
120 Mageweave Cloth
80 Runecloth

There is a section further down on where and how to farm the materials for first aid, below, but before that you need to know the best progression for levelling up first aid. This will start with the Linen Cloth Bandage and end in the Runecloth bandage, as seen in the table further up this article.

Farming Cloth For WoW Classic First Aid

To get started with first aid you’re going to need some cloth, the first you’ll need is linen, but soon you’ll have to progress through each type of cloth to level all the way up to 300 in first aid. You can use a web app like World of MapCraft to find locations in and around World of Warcraft, although this is for retail WoW not WoW classic.

Cloth Type Mob Level
Linen Cloth 5-20
Wool Cloth 16-30
Silk Cloth 28-40
Mageweave Cloth 38-50
Runecloth 50+

Classic WoW First Aid relies on cloth and it is mainly obtained from Humanoids, making them your primary source for various types of cloth. Additionally, Undead and Demons, along with a select few elite Giants also drop cloth. When it comes to farming, you’ll want to concentrate on locations populated by Humanoids due to their higher drop rates and optimal farming density.
