In this tutorial, I show you how to build a cool Minecraft Bunker! This is the classic bunker that you might even still see eroding to this day.
I have added a little Redstone twist to this build and I think it’s a pretty nice addition to the build.
How Do I Build This Bunker?
The key to building this bunker is the shape, it has to look like a small little dome and have the correct height to see out of when you are stood inside it. To achieve this we are using half slabs and full blocks.
If you place one block and then a half slab on top that is the height of the wall where the slits are showing. This gives you the perfect height to look and fire out of as well as providing a good height to crouch behind to take cover.
What Materials Should I Use?
I recommend using a mixture of stone, stone bricks, andesite and smooth stone if you want it to look a little newer. This will give it that solid concrete look. If you want to achieve a brickwork look then use some polished andesite blocks too.
Finally, for the surrounding grass, I recommend using some coarse dirt and gravel to achieve a trodden look to and from the bunker.
How To Do The Redstone In The Bunker
The Redstone inside the bunker is incredibly simple. Place a piston with gravel on top. When the piston is NOT powered the gravel should be flush with the floor. Then finally add a lever and a line of Redstone going to the block next to the piston. This will power the piston when the lever is pulled, allowing you to hide and take cover in the bunker.
I hope you enjoyed this little bit and will give it a try, if you do, then share your screenshots in the comments below! Thanks for reading, see you on the next one.
