Bam! A release, just like that? Did anyone else expect anything like that from Guild Wars 2? I never, and I try and keep up on as much gaming news as possible. It is good to have a release date for Guild Wars 2 so we can book many days off of work to sit and play hundreds of hours of Guild Wars 2, who is with me? Ok I might be on my own but I am sure many of you are looking forward to getting stuck into a new MMO.
Along with the release date we also found out that by pre ordering you can get a 3 day head start. The 3 day head start is great for people who want to try and get in front of the mass of people on launch day. I find it very enjoyable to be one of the first in certain areas when a game hits live, especially if it is deserted as you feel like an explorer.
Ok enough of the looking forward to Guild Wars 2 and fantasizing, here are the facts we know about the Guild Wars 2 release date.

- Pre ordering gives you a 3 day head start
- Pre order also gives you exclusive in game items
- You will also receive beta access if you pre order
If you are not sure about pre ordering yet, but you are thinking you probably will. I say do it now, this game is incredibly fun and will entertain you for time to come. The big issue I want to see resolved (and probably the only problem, not enhancement) is the lag when clusters of people are fighting together. If they get that fixed and resolved (they may have already) then this is going to be an awesome MMO.
