So Guild Wars 2 is progressing along nicely, with pre purchase now available on their website. They are offering three different types of purchase, Digital Edition, Digital Deluxe and the Collectors Edition.
Now don’t get too excited because the Digital Edition (Almost just the game) is marked up at £49.99 that is just for the standard edition not digital deluxe, of course remember that the actual developer always sells the game higher than the retailers (for example amazon).
Check out the following link for all the purchase options and goodies you get for each version of the game, plus the arenanet manifesto in video form, well worth a watch: https://buy.guildwars2.com/
They have some temporary system specs for Guild Wars 2 on the page aswell, which are:
- Windows® XP Service Pack 2 or better
- Intel® Core™ 2 Duo 2.0 GHz, Core i3, AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 or better
- 2 GB RAM
- NVIDIA® GeForce® 7800, ATI Radeon™ X1800, Intel HD 3000 or better (256MB of video RAM and shader model 3.0 or better)
- 25 GB available HDD space
- Broadband Internet connection
- Keyboard and mouse
Those are some fairly low specs, but remember that an MMO is different to other games, the whole constant online aspect of a huge MMO world does tend to affect lag more than on other games. This is an issue quite a few MMOs suffer, apart from the lower spec MMOs.
One great thing that ArenaNet unveiled was the option of using a temporary server if there are queues in your current server, you would effectively transfer a character over to the server (temporarily) then when your server is back online, transfer back with all the extra stuff you just earned on the temporary server. You wouldn’t be able to play with friends and guild mates I assume, but it would stop you being bored waiting in a queue.
The figure you get with the collectors edition looks awesome, but the price is scary at best, £129.99, when did games start costing over £100?!?

Thats all from me, hope your looking forward to guildwars 2, I know I am.
