Blizzard have announced that Diablo 3 can now be played using their starter edition. Starter editions have become more and more popular for large game companies, they get gamers involved without having to pay any money and then prove how great their games are. If all games were free to play it would require developers to make their games amazing to bring in gamers and then charge for extras on a game you already love.
The starter edition will allow gamers to
- Play Act I up to the Skeleton King
- Get To Level 13 Cap
- Use Matchmaking but only with other Starter Edition players
- You can use Global Play
You can not use the auction house with the starter edition, this is a usual security measure to stop people getting a huge amount of trial accounts and then flooding the auction house or trying to scam the auction house.
