MoP Pet Battle System is looking awesome, Pok’emon anyone? I think it won’t be anything
like Pok’emon it’s going to be even better!!
How To Level Your Pet
- Win battles to win experience.
- Learn new abilities.
- Create builds using abilities.
- Increase stats.
- Level multiple pets to build your own team.
This looks seriously awesome I am hoping for some kind of massive fire breathing dragon pet or a cool like leaf dinosaur, something like that would be great fun. It would be great if you can add a few items and maybe some cool gems and stuff to the pet, it would just allow more casual players to really get something out of WoW on top of dungeons and professions.
Personally it would be great to see a little bit of archaeology combining with the pet system. A profession which everyone can acquire and level up, which allows you to get awesome pet items.
The only concern for me is that there might be too much focus on pets from the WoW devs, as long as people take the pet battle system as a fun extra to the game then it will be great. It just might not be so great to almost have a load of mini classes which need to be balanced against one another.

This feature might be enough alone to make loads of players swarm back to WoW, I will definitely be playing it myself. Along with an energy based healer, this seems crazy I am really looking forward to this, so is WiccanKitty (a.k.a HolyKitty) as she primarily plays a healer in WoW.
They have said that there could also be some wild pets which you need to find and acquire. I would love to be able to have a fun team of pets who I can then battle against other people with. Someone did ask if any certain pet types will be “Super Effective” against other types. This was in jest though I believe.
