In this TemTem game review, we take a look at what we like and don’t like about TemTem and how to get some of the basics done in the game. TemTem is a new early access game, currently available on Steam. The easiest way to describe this game is to think Pokemon without the balls. You can catch new TemTem, battle NPCs, wild TemTem and Dojo Masters.
Is TemTem any good?
This game is still very early access, but from first impressions, it looks like a lot of hard work has gone into the game. It could be the next great game or it could just be a solid indy game. It’s still too early to tell.
We have played a very small amount of TemTem and are absolutely loving it. Aside from a couple of things like the constant wild battles that can get tedious. The price can be a little off-putting for some people, but you are likely to get good value for money if you enjoy this type of monster-catching game.
Playing TemTem
Playing TemTem is very similar to Pokemon. Explore the map, find dojo masters to fight against and catch some TemTem. You can find NPCs, train up your TemTem and even fight other players online, cool!
The TemTem Monsters
There are about 140 TemTem currently, with plans to add more in the future. They each have their own type, for example, Fire Type. These monsters are the key to playing, train them, tame them and battle fiercely in the world!
A couple of the creatures you can find include the Skail, which is a neutral type TemTem that evolves into Skunch! How cute.
How To Tame TemTem
To tame yourself a wild TemTem, you just need to find one in the wild and then attempt to tame it using a TemCard. Like other monster/creature catching games if you weaken the TemTem it will make it easier to tame.
TemTem Price Increase
TemTems price is currently (as of writing) at £27.99. This has been set to increase as more features are released in early access.
TemTem Release Date
The game is currently available as early access on steam, but as for the full release date. We aren’t sure yet, although the steam store page states the following.
“Temtem will be in Early Access until we feel the game is complete enough for its release. Based on our current estimations that will be sometime during Q2 2021 or Q3 2021.”
Which platforms will TemTem be released on?
According to the Kickstarter campaign, TemTem will be available on Steam, Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One. When that will happen we are not sure. If you want to play it now, then currently the only option is to play it on Early Access on Steam.
