So we have a new class it is the Monk. Mists of Pandaria will allow you to play the awesome Monk, but it is not just a reserved class for the Pandaren. Naturally you would expect the Dwarf to be able to play the “Drunken Monk” as they love their beer and ale!

Check it out here are the races that can play the Monk.

Alliance Pandaren Races

  • Draenei
  • Dwarf
  • Gnome
  • Human
  • Night Elf
  • Pandaren

Horde Pandaren Classes

  • Blood Elf
  • Pandaren
  • Orc
  • Tauren
  • Troll
  • Undead

The Specialisations The Monk

  • Brewmaster
  • A tank class for pandaren, that wears leather armour. Not much talk on how this will work yet, but I am thinking drunk monk that dodges a lot due to stumbling around!

  • Mistweaver
  • A healing class that also wears leather armour. They did elaborate on the healing slightly. The monk will not need to target a character, they will instead do Vicinity Healing, so if you are in the vicinity of a character then they will be healed, we should expect the monk to be darting around the raid / group and heal around them without targeting. Another mechanic is that they could plant down a sort of stone which when they did damage to the boss would healing people near the stone.

  • Windwalker
  • Melee DPS class that looks awesome! This looks be to an incredible DPS with lots of fast animations. Hopefully we will see something quite different to the rogue. There has already been some animations which just look absolutely fantastic!

Pandaren Racials

  • Epicurean – Increase the Stat benefit from from food by 100%
  • Gourmand – Increases cooking skill by 15
  • Inner peace – Your rested experience lasts twice as long
  • Bouncy – 50% Less fallen damage taken.
  • Quaking Palm – You touch a secret pressure point on an enemy target, putting it to sleep for 3 seconds.

The last one seems pretty awesome for PvP, maybe hinting towards a heavily PvP based expansion for Mists Of Pandarai. There is definitely going to be raids but as suggested before there is not a large presence over the land like Lich King or Cataclysm.

There will not be one massive huge boss like Deathwing, but there will definitely be some great raids and “The Sha” will play a big part in the enemies we slay. There has been a couple of dungeons already shown one looked like a sort of Pandaren brewery.

I have high hopes for all of the Mists of Pandaria, especially the Monk.
